Fred Wheeler is a resourceful, innovative Executive Level professional with over 30 years of sales management and service history with Financial Institutions. The majority of Fred’s experience has been in Operations and Business Development.
Fred began his career with Fujitsu Systems of America in 1985 as a systems engineer for Financial Institution ATM’s. During his 14-year career with Fujitsu, Fred earned employee of the year and opened several regional sales and operations offices throughout the Northeast. His overall responsibilities at Fujitsu were to develop new sales and operations offices to support Fujitsu America’s growth, develop software to support the growing infrastructure, and ensure that Fujitsu’s execution and integration of new clients was seamless.
Fred resigned from Fujitsu in 1998 to be a Managing Partner in Brown ATM Solutions. Through Fred’s experience, leadership and know-how, the business grew from nothing to over $7 million in revenue in seven years. Brown ATM Solutions was sold to Red Hawk Industries in 2005, where Fred was promoted to National Director of Sales and Support Services. In that role, Fred was responsible for all business operational and sales tools to support growth and customer support for all 13 US branches of Red Hawk.
In 2014 Trey Prats established Automated Transaction Delivery (“ATD”) to meet the growing demand for a true Managed Services ATM program for Financial Institutions. Automated Transaction Delivery is the sister company of ATM Worldwide that offers 100% of all Managed Services to tier 2 and tier 3 (i.e. smaller FI’s) Financial Institutions nationally. Concurrent with the establishment of ATD, Trey Prats brought on Fred Wheeler, a 30+ year veteran of the ATM industry with an extensive career focusing on FI’s. Fred has held numerous leadership positions with companies like Diebold, NCR and Red hawk. The increasing demand of technology at ATMs and inside branches has put Automated Transaction Delivery in a perfect position to capitalize on a strong market share of FI ATMs and bank equipment across the entire country.
In 2010, Red Hawk was sold to UTC Fire & Security. Because of Fred’s reputation within the organization and experience in the field, he was named National Director of Sales & Marketing. Fred was responsible for Business Development and supporting customer deliverables for 18 branches and 120 personnel, which included product development, sales training, developed and implemented standard sales pricing across all branches.
In early 2012, UTC Fire and Security was repurchased by Red Hawk Fire & Security. Leadership recognized the invaluable field and operations knowledge that Fred brought to the organization and made him the National Director of Field Service, which included vendor management, supply-chain management, sales training, coaching and service deliverables to end users. Fred held this role with Red Hawk until the end of 2013 before resigning to pursue consulting services for select customers.
In 2014, Fred connected with Trey Prats at a training meeting in Florida and a few months later Fred joined the ATM Worldwide team as Chief Operations Officer and VP of Sales & Business Development for the Financial Institutions division. Fred brings an incredible amount of knowledge and experience in sales, operations and implementation within the FI space. His leadership and industry-wide partnerships are an invaluable asset to ATM Worldwide and Automated Transaction Delivery.
